Practical experience

• European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, participation in advising on financing of solid waste management system, utilities infrastructure, refinancing a bond issue in different regions of Kazakhstan.
• Baikonyr Solar LLP, consulted on the provisions of the Turn Key Construction Contract.
• Advised clients on matters of deal structure, choice of legal form for registration in the AIFC and obtaining AFSA licences, preparation of corporate policies including AML, Conflicts of Interest and Risk Policies, Business Continuity Plan.
• Dealt with the unfair prejudice and winding up on just and equitable ground petitions in UK and drafted an affidavit for the cross-border insolvency dispute; participated in advising a large natural monopoly in Kazakhstan on the cross-border litigation.

• Apple Inc. on implementation Apple Carrier Billing Programme in Kazakhstan.

• SWF Samruk-Kazyna in connection with issuance and placement of debut (i.e. the first in the Fund’s history) eurobonds. Placement was made in the amount of USD 500mln on the LSE, on the KASE and on the exchange of the AIX.

• a large natural monopoly entity on the implementation of strategic state investment project in electricity sector and judicial acts of Kazakhstan in China.
• a large kazakh air company for the import of civil aircraft, as well as the registration of aircraft rights.
• a foreign IT company on implementation of PPP project in Kazakhstan on modernization of tax system.
• multiple investors on M&A transactions, corporate matters under AIFC law.
• an international financial institute on acquisition of shares in the major local bank and regulation of inside dealings under Kazakhstan and AIFC laws.
