Prior to joining Zan Hub team, Akylbek was the Senior Attorney and head of Kazakhstan antitrust practice in a large international law firm.

Akylbek has over 10-year experience on providing legal advisory services on antitrust and corporate law, compliance and anticorruption regulations, real estate matters and regulation of new areas of digital economy (blockchain, cryptocurrency) to a wide range of clients in various industries, from major Kazakhstani companies to transnational corporations.

Akylbek actively develops legal practice not only as part of his work with clients, but also as part of legislative and other professional activities. He was one of the first commercial lawyers who took part in preparation of the Scientific and Practical Commentary on the Business Code of Kazakhstan (Section 4). Such activity allows to access quicker state authorities, be aware of planned changes and be able to influence formation and development of legislation, law enforcement practice, and, as a result, determine correct and effective strategy for protecting the clients' interests and developing their businesses.
